2006 – The Franklin Award (24th Annual Award)
The Philadelphia Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter Society (CPCU) presented its 24th Franklin Award to Scott Addis for his outstanding achievement and contribution to the insurance industry in the Delaware Valley. The CPCU’s selection committee chose Scott based upon his promotion of insurance and risk management within the community, achievements beyond primary professional responsibilities, innovation and leadership.
2006 – Best Places to Work
The Addis Group was honored to be named one of the Best Places to work in Pennsylvania. The program recognized the firm's dedication to employees growth, satisfaction and professional development.
2001 & 2006 – PINacle Award
The Addis Group was recognized as the top performer of more than 100 insurance brokerages who are members of the Agency Peak Performance Exchange (APPEX). The performance measurements include operating efficiency, growth and financial ratios pertinent to insurance brokerage operations. The Addis Group Performance Indicator Number (PIN) was 9.84. The industry average was 6.43.
2005 – The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research 25
Scott Addis was recognized as one of the "25 Most Innovative Agents in America" by The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research. 2004 – Main Line Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year
The Main Line Chamber of Commerce recognized The Addis Group for its customer focus, innovation, leadership and commitment to the community, Pennsylvania Senator Constance H. 2003 – National Underwriter Magazine’s Agency of the Year
National Underwriter Magazine recognized The Addis Group as the 2003 Commercial Insurance Agency of the Year. The award program applauded The Addis Group for “doing an outstanding job in helping its clients identify, limit and insure their exposures in an increasingly hard market”. Scott Addis, President of The Addis Group, accepted the award during the annual conference of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America on September 22, 2003 in Las Vegas. 1999 – Rough Notes Magazine Agency of the Month
Rough Notes Magazine featured The Addis Group a cover story in its August 1999 edition. The article was entitled 'Extreme Service' stating that the key ingredient to The Addis Group's success formula is "client education".
1997 – The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Business of The Year Award
The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce recognized The Addis Group as the 1997 Business of The Year for Customer Service Excellence. Sponsors of the program included Prime Bank, PNC Bank, Coopers & Lybrand LLP and Motorola Communications & Electronics, Inc.
1994, 1995, 1996 – Philadelphia 100
The Addis Group was recognized as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the Philadelphia region for three consecutive years. The award was sponsored by Arthur Andersen, Ben Franklin Technology Center, CoreStates Bank, Deloitte & Touche, Mass Mutual, PNC Bank and Reed Smith Shaw & McClay. The Addis Group was one of only seven companies to qualify for the award over the three-year period.
1993 & 1994 – Entrepreneur of the Year Award
In acknowledgment of its unique approach to managing risk, The Addis Group was a Philadelphia finalist for Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1993 and 1994. The Philadelphia Business Journal described the Award as "the nation’s most prestigious recognition for leaders of some of this region’s hottest entrepreneurial companies." Nominations were based on "ingenuity, hard work and perseverance, which create a successful, growing business venture."
